The Ourika Valley

The Ourika valley-Berber village

Among the most beautiful natural regions accessible from Marrakech is the Ourika valley, set in the heart of the High Atlas peaks. Exploring this region is an opportunity to dive into the heart of authentic Morocco, preserved from rampant urban planning. Staying in Marrakech without visiting the Ourika valley would simply be a shame.

When you set out to conquer the Ourika valley, which can be visited over 1 day, it is impossible to resist the charm of the region, as the ecosystem is so preserved. It is often difficult to imagine that we are only 40 km from the bustling city of Marrakech.

The Ourika valley is characterized above all by a green environment where the river from which it takes its name meanders sometimes lazily, sometimes briskly depending on the intensity of the slopes of the High Atlas.

A trail very popular with tourists allows you to discover a series of seven waterfalls. It is not only nature that has been preserved in the heart of the Ourika valley, there are also numerous Berber villages clinging to the sides of the mountains which seem to be frozen in time...
